Welcome to the Connecticut Environmental Forum

The Connecticut Environmental Forum (CEF) is an organization which provides a forum for environmental professionals to share and exchange information and experiences on environmental matters and to learn about the latest issues regarding environmental regulations. Members of the forum meet monthly to discuss upcoming changes in laws and regulations and the impacts on our community.  Expert presentations and panel discussions allow all members to gather information and stay current with environmental compliance issues.

For further information about the Connecticut Environmental Forum, contact John Wertam, Chair, Board of Directors.

Please join us to hear from Chris Rascher, a SARA Title III inspector from EPA New England, discuss the process for a Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) inspection.  We all collect our data and run through the calculations to fill out our Form Rs and Form As, making sure we catch any changes in the regulations.  Chris is the regional inspector who identifies and targets facilities for inspection.  He will talk about the process and share his experiences with the group. Also, Colin Jefferies of the Office of the State Fire Marshal, a division of the Department of Public Safety will discuss reports required to be filed with the LEPC and local fire departments.
